Friends Vision's Annual Christmas Appeal is here again. Help us to put on Christmas party's for over 200 children in rescue centers around Kenya!
Last year Friends Vision celebrated another successful Christmas appeal with over $2,000 in donations! We were able to do two parties last year marking our 6th year.† One was at Machakos Girls Rescue and one at Thika Boys Rescue Centre. The day at Machakos saw the boys at Thika travel over to spend the day with siblings and friends. It was filled with fun and games and a huge feast which was catered for giving the centre staff the day off.† On Christmas Day we stayed at Thika spoiling the boys with chicken and chips for lunch then beef stew, chapatis and rice for dinner (dinner provided by another group spending the day with the children). The children had a great day with music, bubble machines, water fights, football, basketball and a late night makeshift dance party. Much needed supplies including: toilet paper, toothbrushes, soap etc were donated as presents for the centre. We are only able to do the work we do with the support of our amazing donars.

|2018 New Update||It continues to be an interesting, challenging, rewarding and evolving journey for us as we move into our eighth year. While itís been around two years since my last update (so sorry), the wheels have still been turning over as we venture into new territory this year. Our focus on sustainability is in full force with some exciting new partnerships; we have gained tax deductibility status in Australia; welcomed new staff members and new children and had the first of our young adults finishing High School and beginning our transition program.|
|2015 News Update||All in all it has been a busy, exciting and challenging year for us at Friends Vision as we slowly move through some changes that have taken place within our organisation. Throughout the year we have welcomed new staff, gained our Kenyan NGO status, began our farming project and started to move towards a more sustainable future.|
|2013 News Update||We have had a very busy year at Friends Vision with myself spending 10 months in Kenya to help lay the ground work for new projects and network within the local community (amongst many other things!). This year we employed two new staff members, saw volunteers, friends and family join us in Kenya to see our projects and welcomed some new children into our sponsorship program. We overcame many challenges that Kenya seems to throw at us at any given time and have slowly made progress on our existing projects getting us another step closer to building our first children's home. Have a read below of the year that was. I hope you enjoy and all have a great Christmas ahead!|
