Sponsoring a child is one of the best ways to make a difference in this world and be involved in directly changing the life of one child.
Here at Friends Vision we truly believe that education is the way towards a better future, one where all children can dream, hope and work towards a brighter tomorrow.
Friends Vision Sponsorship Program
Friends Vision works closely with rescue and rehabilitation centers in Kenya. These centers act as a temporary home for orphaned, vulnerable, abused, deprived and destitute children. With limited funding the centers can only provide very basic food, shelter and little to no education. A majority of the children in our sponsorship program live at these centers and have no hope or inspiration of a brighter tomorrow. By sponsoring an underprivileged child with Friends Vision, you will not just give them a chance to gain an education but a chance for them to believe they have a future and become anything they wish as we intend to see our children through until they can fully be self-sustainable in the future they choose. Whether this involves studying at university, vocational training, apprenticeships or just helping to find them work; we will ensure all of our children have every opportunity at life every child should have the right to enjoy.
December 2018 Update
We have had another big year here at Friends Vision and although we’ve had some setbacks, we’ve also had many reasons to celebrate. In particular, we are always inspired by the many achievements of the children and young people we support. With increasing costs and floods wiping out most of our crops, we also need to continue to fundraise so read on to see what we have planned.
March 2018 Update
It continues to be an interesting, challenging, rewarding and evolving journey for us as we move into our eighth year. While it’s been around two years since my last update (so sorry), the wheels have still been turning over as we venture into new territory this year. Our focus on sustainability is in full force with some exciting new partnerships; we have gained tax deductibility status in Australia; welcomed new staff members and new children and had the first of our young adults finishing High School and beginning our transition program.
